No other company offers as many shutter styles and wood species. Although we offer seven standard interior shutter designs, seventeen standard exterior shutter designs, and ventilators of all configurations we will meet almost any architectural specifications for custom orders. In order to ensure customers receive the best possible finish, Southern Shutter offers complete finishing options. Shutters are offered at several finishing stages to allow the customer the flexibility to choose their finishing options. Both interior and exterior shutters are offered in finishing options beginning with unfinished/raw all the way through to prefinished. We will match any national paint brand for color or you may send a swatch. Either way your color pallet is endless. Paint, solid color stains, as well as semi-transparent stains are all options. Wiping stains are utilized as well on both interior and exterior shutters. Since opening the doors over 50 years ago, our choice material for construction has been Western Red Cedar. Western Red Cedar is naturally decay resistant, light weight, straight and has one of the lowest expansion ratios of any material. In addition our lumber sources are FSC certified ensuring sustainability. In addition to our extensive shutter line, Southern Shutter offers a complete line of Louvered ventilators. Vents are available in a variety of rough opening sizes and shapes including gable styles. Also available is a full line of hard to find exterior and interior shutter hardware including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, brass and chrome hinges.
