Christmas time’s always a busy time in the shop, always like to make the girls in our family a little something special. This year it was these knotted style crosses made from solid oak. Also made this home plate plaque for my softball playing granddaughter Bonnie and this Alabama elephant plaque for my best Bama buddy and oldest granddaughter Lacie. Also built some small youth size chairs for my niece Misty in Texas, gifts for her grandchildren. Message me if you be interested in my making any of these for you, and yes I do still build my signature porch swings. Happy New Year everyone !!!!!!

Solid oak stained home plate plaque for softball, baseball players. Two shelves with pegs hold 26 rings, 6 pegs on the front for ribbons. Last one, would make a great Christmas gift, $80.00.

Finally got to get back in the shop after a busy spring of baseball, my 50th high school class reunion, and sadly a number of funerals. Just finished up these twin four footers, getting ready to deliver one of these to my forever friends Bernice and Michael Hawkins in Homewood. Had the pleasure of building a new swing for my good friends and classmates ( Lee Class of ‘75) Sharon Spigner Burgess and her husband Jim Burgess. So enjoyed seeing your lake house and visiting with you. Also got to visit this afternoon with my old friends JT Jones and Bobby Beard around the bend at Real Island Marina. Great to catch up with you all.

Thanks so much to my sweet neighbor Sherry Burrows Wilkins for letting me build her a set of shutters for her kitchen window. Springtime means swing time and what better way to enjoy these warmer temps than with a custom made plantation style porch swing. Granddaddy’s Porch Swings, been a busy February in the ‘ole shop, built some board and batten shutters for my old friend Joel Boyd. Also built a couple of five foot porch swings, one for Valory Wright here in Montgomery and delivered one today to Phillip Cantrell and his wife Donna up on Lake Martin. Well that’s a wrap on 2023, my last build of the year was for my old friend and coworker Geary Powell. This swing was for his son as a gift to his wife for Christmas. Thanks to so many that have reached out to me this past year, hope everyone enjoys a blessed and Happy New Year !!!!!!
