Saturday Kathy Reed presented a check of $400 from the Craft Fair Silent Auction to the Montpelier Food Shelf- Just Basics Vermont.

This money will help with the Holiday Baskets that they are giving out on December 14.

This is one of the greatest parts of the craft show and we are so thankful to everyone that came and especially those who participated in the silent auction!

Artist Feature: Staples Stitchery
I love to create and have been a lover of crafts for as long as I can remember. The creation of the totes arose from a need for both original and personalized bridesmaid gifts and an over abundance of linen from a pillow project.

Now, playing with new fabrics and new combinations of colors and patterns has become such a passion and I love creating new looks and other gifts from upcycled materials.

Hi there! I'm Kelly Kindestin, I received my certificate of herbalism through Rosemary Gladstar's Herbal Studies where I apprenticed with Marie Frohlich.

I create natural, organic plant based skin care and herbal remedies. I grow and ethically wild harvest the plants used to create unique blends that are natural and organic. My herbal creations are a Le'Fusion; French for fusion of all four elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water creating harmony and balance in each product.

Artist Feature - Deedas baskets

I took several basket weaving classes from a local woman in the 90’s. I am intrigued by the endless possibilities and the simplicity of creating something so beautiful and useful. I find myself drawn to the more functional styles of baskets. The baskets I create are free formed using reed. I have created many custom pieces used in homes throughout the country. I have created baskets for theater productions and motion pictures. I see color and movement around me as I travel the Vermont roads and see the pattern recreated in a basket. Basket weaving is a long standing tradition, shared by cultures throughout the world. I have had opportunities to learn from many other weavers and honor the talents of those weavers who have shared their passion with me. They encourage me to share this with others.
