SWEATER WEATHER is COMING !

This is the beginning of the best season for knitters - me included!
I just finished the Hippie Wreath sweater with my worsted weight creamy white Romney worsted yarn by Annie Lupton .
My contrasting color was my Romney home spun & indigo dyed yarn that has sat on a shelf for years - it was meant for this very project!!💙

Our yarn is for sale at Dances With Wool in Midlothian Va & Center of the Yarniverse in Ashland Va and soon will be in 2 more shops - I will reveal that in the coming weeks!

One of our white ewe lambs is happy at her new farm , Blue Mountain Fiber Mill, and as they say “ making new friends 😊
I have been in Siesta Key Florida watching over my mother in law in Tampa - and enjoying walks on the beach and pina coladas!

Our last 4 lambs have left the farm….they all have landed on wonderful new farms! Ruth, Eve, & Naomi are a starter flock for a retired policeman and his wife and the youngest-Beau and his mom went to Gale of Constitution Farm who raises heritage breeds of sheep & cows!
The last photo was taken when a group of hobby photographers came to the farm- Tina of captured that amazing shot of Beau💙

Today we drove these twin sister ewe lambs half way to Harrisburg Pa to meet the mother 💕daughter duo of Blue Mountain Fiber Mill, who makes our amazing yarn! All the fiber mills have long wait lists but with Blue Mountain it is so worth the wait!!

We feel so fortunate that these girls will have a great life in Pennsylvania on top of a beautiful mountain with loving shepherds! Thank you Angie & Ashley!!

Today our oldest 3 ram lambs and 3 older sheep went to their forever home at Maymont Park in Richmond Va! 💚
Maymont had a flock of Scottish Blackface sheep that dwindled down to 3. Now they have a new flock of Romneys for visitors to see and enjoy !

“ An 8 week old ram lamb and a 1 week old ram lamb walk into a bar …….”😂
Meet little Beau, our last lamb born Easter weekend . All 4 of our ram lambs are going to wonderful places! The 3 oldest will be living forever at Maymont Park in Richmond , along with 2 ewes who cannot breed again . Beau will be living his life on a farm in Rhoadesville Va that cares for orphaned cows, steers , miniature donkeys, sheep , ducks , chickens, cats & dogs!

Dances With Wool ( Midlothian Va) just started to carry our Farm Yarn - along with the Center of the Yarniverse (Ashland Va) !

I’ve added a couple pictures of the knits that I’ve made with it and the sheep ( I think ) were proud of what they grew on their backs !
