Hi friends! If you’re new around here, I’m Alexandra Eisman, the founder and principal designer at Eisman Home. I thought it was time for a little hello and a chance to share a few random facts about me 🙋♀️
1️⃣ I love old homes, antique shops and pieces that come with a story. 📖🪑
2️⃣ My grandmother was famously known in South Jersey as “The Applehead Doll Lady.” She was so special, and a lifelong crafter and furniture restorer. I grew up running around her farm with my brother and cousins, playing in her antique shop and helping her craft. It absolutely influenced my penchant for a collected aesthetic.
3️⃣ My happy place is spending time with my husband, our rescue pups and our extended crew of friends and family. 👩❤️👨🐶
4️⃣ I put myself through graduate school by working in Drexel’s Fashion Design department during the day and taking grad classes at night. 🎓
5️⃣ After graduating, I sang in a cover band at bars, weddings and private events across the Philly area while also working a corporate job M-F. I can’t even imagine having that much energy now. 😅🎤
6️⃣ My first job outside of babysitting was in the kitchen at Camp Matollionequay in Medford, where I punched in with a paper time card. (hello, 1999!) 🍽️
7️⃣ I sit on the board of a food pantry my dad founded in Maine. (My parents relocated there in retirement.) 🌱
Bonus facts just for fun: I’m an Aries and it tracks 🐏♈️, and my soul dog was a lemon beagle who had ‘grumpy old man’ energy even at five years old when we adopted him. 🌈🐾
