Throwback Thursday!
June to us means a lot of things, but the Epilepsy Walk is Pittsburgh is one that always has a special place in our hearts. Some years it's just the 3 of us, some years we take the dogs, and other years we've had groups of 20 or more friends and family.
We always tried to add some fun, like when we got on the big screen at the Pirates game after a walk earlier that day. We're so proud that Kiley still wants to participate even though her seizures have stopped.
We always enjoyed the time with loved ones, like when my 70-year old dad pushed my late-90s grandmother in her wheelchair for the entire 2.1 miles--and she got to meet Andrew Stockey (although she called him Steve Harvey🤣).
We always love when "Kiley's Pack" joins "Kiley's Krew"- they certainly love chasing all the birds around the River Walk in Pittsburgh.
We're always inspired by the stories, the resilience, the innovation, and the bravery of the purple warriors who live with epilepsy EVERY DAY and we can't wait to see everyone this weekend for more memories and to keep the fight alive another year.
