Sad to not be able to see my daughter for her birthday (bad, snowy and icy roads). So I decided to try something different.

I thrifted a 100% cotton tapestry (actually two exactly the same, but this one was less stiff bc the design was more washed out).

Used a pair of overalls I had and made a pattern.

Not a bad first attempt! Now for warmer weather to wear them.

Well here is my first attempt at a bag. Had to improvise the handle because I made the bag smaller than the pattern (due to poor sewing and patchwork denim not cooperating) but it worked out ok. Not perfect but functional.

Thanks to for the use of the thrifted sheet for the lining.

Tonight is my last sewing class at

We will be sewing a bag with a zipper so who knows what I'll make next.
