Hi, I’m Theresa — the designer behind THI.
With so many new faces here, it felt like the perfect moment to reintroduce myself and share a little more about the philosophy behind my work.
At THI, we create livable luxury for clients across the Chicago region, Lake Geneva, and in exceptional lakefront and coastal destinations from coast to coast.
As a full-service interior design firm of 10 years, we specialize in deeply personalized environments that honor architecture, elevate everyday living, and reflect the stories of the people who call them home.
My work is rooted in a love for historic homes, fine craftsmanship, and the balance between timeless elegance and modern comfort. Whether designing a North Shore residence, a serene lakeside retreat, or a coastal getaway, my goal is always to create spaces that feel collected, intentional, and beautifully lived-in.
This past year brought especially meaningful milestones — from designing spaces for the 2025 Lake Forest Showhouse, to being featured in Cambria Style Magazine, and having THI highlighted in Veranda Magazine — and the many meaningful, thoughtfully crafted projects in between. I’m grateful every day for the clients who trust me with their homes and the artisans and partners who help bring each detail to life.

Working on a stunning renovation…..
We’re featuring the exquisite Cumbria mural by from The Belvedere Collection, paired with curated fabrics for custom upholstered chairs and coordinating wallpapers. Not to be outdone, our custom cabinetry and millwork shine in Garden Path—a soft, sophisticated neutral green.

This palette of pattern, color, and texture creates a harmonious balance, bringing both elegance and serenity to the space. We cannot wait to share the installation photos with you soon!

This year, we had the privilege of awarding the 2025 Aspiring Professionals Scholarship to a truly remarkable young woman.

✨ Brenna Mills, a future nurse whose compassion and conviction left a lasting impression on us, reminded us of the power of purpose-driven work. Her story was moving. Her voice, unforgettable.

In partnership with , we awarded $2,000 toward her tuition because the world needs more empathy, more care, and more women like Brenna.

We’re so honored to support her journey, and so hopeful for the future she’s helping shape.
