The Owl’s Nest of NC
What a ride it has been. Mary and Steve met when both were employed by the State of NC. Married in 1969 and started The Owl’s Nest of NC in 1971. Throughout the 1970’s and early 1980’s we worked exclusively with wood. In the mid 1980’s, we started to mess with rusted metal. While participating in a craft show, we were approached by a customer who said she would like some painted flowers to put in her flower boxes during the winter months. We fulfilled her request and recycled metal and paint became the direction of our work.
Mary and Steve have been featured in Country Living Magazine, Country Home Magazine, Home and Garden TV as well as local and regional newspapers.
