Your spring garden starts now 🌷

Fall bulbs can feel like an act of faith: you plant something small in cold soil, wait all winter and then—just when you need it most—the flowers appear.

For the best spring display, don’t rely on one type of bulb. Combine early-, mid- and late-blooming varieties so your garden keeps changing throughout the season.

Our simplest formula:

🌱 One early bloomer
🌼 One midseason bloomer
🌷 One late bloomer

Then repeat that combination in generous groups throughout your garden.

Fall bulbs are available now at D.R. Snell Nursery. Shop early for the best selection, then plant when the weather cools—generally from mid-October through November here in Central Maryland.

The biggest mistake we see? Quick, shallow watering. Plants do much better with slow, deep soaking at the root zone, especially during a heat wave.
