I’ve been saving this gorgeous maple wood frame for a special piece. Nothing ever did it justice until now.

During my short time working for Delta Airlines at JFK (for the sole purpose of flight benefits), a colleague/friend and I took a day trip to New Orleans on a day off. It was everything I had hoped for: big band street music, energy and culture and southern food (ordered turtle soup 🫠).

This piece immediately takes me right back there. Who else has been?

Original Gypsy Lou Webb — A Streetcar Named Desire, New Orleans, LA

Original c. 1960s pen-and-ink and watercolor by Louise “Gypsy Lou” Webb (1916–2020), French Quarter artist and co-founder of Loujon Press and The Outsider. This work depicts the historic Desire streetcar on Royal Street, tied to Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire. (The Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival)

I have surface-cleaned, rematted, and reframed while preserving the original handwritten title and location.

The Best Table Ever. 🤎

A beautifully restored Sikes “Colonist Craft” solid maple dining set, made in Buffalo, New York, c. 1930s–40s. Six beautifully (and comfortable!) sculpted solid-wood chairs — including two captain’s chairs — and one of our favorite antique table designs we’ve found.

The magic is underneath: two 15” tuck-under leaves disappear completely beneath the tabletop when not in use and release with their original lever mechanisms. Closed, it’s a perfectly manageable 60” table. Fully extended, it becomes an impressive 90” long dining table perfect for all holiday hosting coming soon.

Professionally cleaned and restored, structurally excellent, and ready for another generation of gathering and making memories.

Such a beautiful piece of Grand Rapids furniture history. This c. 1930s–1940s mahogany drum table still has its original “True Grand Rapids Cabinet Making Certified” brass plaque, along with its brass paw feet and single functional drawer.

After a thorough wipe-down, sanding and staining the top, I used one of my favorite Howard Products | Wood Care — their beeswax-based Feed-N-Wax — to bring that gorgeous mahogany grain back to life. It’s become my one of my favorites to nourish the wood while preserving the character that makes an old piece like this so special.

Measures 26” diameter × 28” H.

This charming late-20th-century decorative steamer trunk has been thoughtfully refreshed and is ready for its next adventure. Measuring 36” W × 21” D × 24” H, it’s the perfect size for a coffee table, blanket chest, or stylish storage piece.

We conditioned the wood, refreshed the interior with a warm vintage patina, and significantly reduced the typical old-trunk odor—making it as practical as it is beautiful. Complete with brass hardware and leather handle.

AVAILABLE— Antique Empire Revival Inlaid Mahogany Sofa / Settee – c. 1900–1915

Beautiful and substantial antique Empire Revival sofa dating to approximately 1900–1915.

Features an architectural mahogany frame with contrasting lightwood stringing and detailed Neoclassical marquetry/inlay, including floral urn motifs on the front posts, fan/sunburst inlay on the arms, and scrolling floral decoration across the arched crest.

Traditional construction is visible from the back, including a substantial softwood frame, burlap and jute webbing. The sofa has been reupholstered during its lifetime and has evidence of later repairs consistent with a piece of this age.

The design draws heavily from early-19th-century Empire and Biedermeier furniture, interpreted during the Empire Revival period around the turn of the 20th century.

Original Oil on Canvas c. 1880–1900

From forgotten to found again. ✨

This antique European oil on canvas, dating to around 1880–1900, came to us dulled by decades of grime and age. We carefully cleaned the surface, revealing the beautiful original colors and details of this tranquil Dutch-inspired canal scene—complete with farmhouse, windmill, waterway, and figures.

The paint surface, oxidation pattern, canvas weave, and original tack construction all work together to tell us this is a genuinely old painting, with an old period repair adding another chapter to its story.

We preserved it in its original antique frame, cleaned and refreshed it, and gave this forgotten piece the care it deserved—so its next chapter can begin. 🤎
