I get asked all the time why a room can have gorgeous furniture, perfect lighting, art on the walls, and still feel unfinished. My answer is almost always the same: greenery.

It's one of my favorite tricks as a designer because it softens all those straight lines and hard surfaces in a space, adds color without complicating your palette, and gives a room that lived in, layered feeling that says someone really thought this through. And no, it doesn't have to be real. I'm a huge believer in high quality faux when the light or the lifestyle calls for it.

I had the pleasure of visiting on Dolly Day to see my client Liz Longley perform, (Liz was INCREDIBLE as always!) Sparkle, pattern, color, gold and plenty of drama. Because if Dolly’s going to do a hotel, you know she’s not doing beige! 😉
