The ones that grow in the deep south and have Spanish moss swaying from their branches. My favorite memories as a child are the ones of long winding roads with oaks lining the path and wondering what adventure lies beyond the next turn. They are mysterious and magical with Spanish moss blowing in the wind. The trees are bold and alive, their presence so strong yet generous. The tree in the logo is

an actual tree on my family farm! The sassy part comes from the fact that I may have been told a time or two (ok...maybe a thousand) that I'm a bit sassy. ☺So now you know how The Sassy Oak got its name...classy, a little bit sassy, and a whole lot of Southern.

Summer may not be ready to let go, but the calendar has other plans.

One minute, we’re soaking up every last bit of sunshine; the next, we’re welcoming the “ber” months with football weekends, pumpkins, cozy tables, full plates, twinkling lights and all the little traditions that make this season so special.

So come on in, September, October, November and December. We’ll make room for you…right after one more perfect summer day.

August, you were full. 🤍

Full of family, friends, garden goodness, sweet little summer memories, getting dressed just because, and a few ordinary days that ended up feeling pretty special.

I think that’s what I’ll remember most. Not one big moment, just a whole month made up of the right people, the little things, and a lot to be grateful for.

Turns out, this really was the good stuff!

What was one thing that made August good to you?
