Our African beaded chairs, spotted in the wild at the Charleston Artist Collective, home base for our friend Allison Williamson, who’s built something pretty special for local artists and art lovers. If you haven’t been in, it’s a collective giving Charleston artists a place to grow and giving collectors (new or seasoned) access to original work. The gallery is a magical place!

& these chairs feel right at home there. Originating during a period of Yoruba dominance in West Africa, they were traditionally reserved for kings and chief leaders, each one hand-selected by our buyers for its ability to anchor a room. The patterns, the colors, the craftsmanship — every detail carries history, which makes them as meaningful as they are beautiful.

Our Summer sale is in full swing & we just marked even more down: 20%-50% off everything 💫

Just added: the Oaklynn Bed is back in a gorgeous Block Shop Textiles fabric (Queen only, and we’re down to two). Just marked 40% Off!

The fabric is called “Verdugo Coffee,” named for the Verdugo Mountains in the designer’s hometown of LA. A little tribute to the range, and to a city that’s shown real resilience after the wildfires. 🤎 It’s also Sunbrella performance fabric meaning it shrugs off sun, spills, kids, dogs - it’s made for real life.

Now let’s talk about these Halabala chairs. We sent some yardage off to get recovered & the result is a collection you will not find anywhere else. A little history: these mid-century beauties were designed by Czech designer Jindřich Halabala nearly 100 years ago and are sleek & sculptural. The kind of design that we still love a century later. 💫

What’s better than summertime in New York? Ah .. the feel good energy is just infectious! ⚡️

Olivia Johnson and I traveled up to the city at the beginning of the month for the accessory shows. It had been about two years since we were last in the city exploring and sourcing together. Oh, what fun! We left feeling inspired and excited for new things to come to the store soon. We especially loved getting to see everyone we work so closely with and meeting new faces. That is everything!

We ❤️ New York! Fun new things coming 🔜 to Celadon Home

P.s. We will be dreaming of Thai Diner until our next visit! 🗽
