6am Update:
Bright eyed and bushy tailed WELCOME our brand new heifer calf, Buttercup Sue🌼 {named after a dear family friend} was reunited with her momma, Nutmeg was so eager to take her right back, licking her clean over and over! 💛🤎💛

4pm Update:
Buttercup FINALLYYY latched on to nurse and we are so happy and relieved and tired 😌 momma and baby are penned up together in their barn.

We are so thankful for our friends and family who were able to help us through Grandma and grandpa for always coming in a flash.

Middle of the night update (from lastnight) on Nutmeg's calf:

Never would have imagined to sleep on the garage floor with a calf to make sure they get colostrum they need right away 💛

With Nutmeg being a first time mom, the calf was having a difficult time latching on. So we scooped her up for the night out of the storms, safe in the garage and gave her the bottle. I give you credit Nate 😘 you made it happen and with only 2 hours of sleep lastnight, it sure made a rough day today. ⛈️

Just moments before the storm at 7:53pm lastnight (June 10) Nutmeg birthed her 1st little sweet calf with ease 🤎

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY 🎂 To our Rusty Boy!
He is the biggest lover 🧡, most curious, extremely outgoing, not afraid of anything and the BEST BOY we could have asked for! Treats later tonight buddy 🧁🧁🧁 (yes we put his hair in a pony yesterday 😀)
