I remember reading Marie Kondo’s book and she talked about things being “at rest” when you declutter.

An overall knowing that a space feels at peace.

You open the cupboard and you don’t feel overwhelmed…you can breathe.

Not too much — a drawer not jam packed with clothes,

a shelf not overflowing with books or random items.

And the Lord has been talking to me a lot about rest lately.

Pausing to ask myself— am I at rest?

Is my life too jam packed with things —

Physical and intangible?

The random clutter, of course, but…

Being busy with my schedule.
Time scrolling on social media.

Time spent replaying old things that happened in my life.

Negative self-talk.

Am I at rest?

Or do I have some more work to do to get there?

To rest — in an overall knowing that I am at peace.

I’m still on a journey to simplify my life more…and lately,

it feels the more I remove,

both physical and intangible,

the more I simplify,

the more peace I feel.

Are you longing for more peace too? 🤍

Comment PEACE for my decluttering course to get started. 🫶
