So true! There’s a lot of work before the finished piece of artwork is displayed!
The finished stained glass window gets the attention. The craftsmanship behind it usually doesn’t.
Behind every clean lead line and every perfectly fitted piece are the cuts that didn’t cooperate, the pieces that had to be remade, the tiny adjustments, and the decisions an artist makes that most people will never know happened.
That’s part of what makes handmade stained glass so special.
You may never see every hour that went into the work but somehow, you can feel when something was made with care.
Send this to a maker who knows exactly what we mean. 🤍
