The Decorating Store at Terminal Mill Ends We provide Window Treatments, Reupholstery and Refinishing, Slipcovers and Cushions, Blinds, Shades, Ours is a true love story about family and fabric.

In 1949, Len (known to all as "Alex") and Greta Alexander began selling the "ends," or remnants, of large bolts of home textile fabrics and dress goods procured through their brother-in-law via a shipping terminal in Paterson, NJ. They opened their own business, Terminal Mill Ends, in the "country" - then "faraway" Union. Their daughter Nina joined them in 1978 and established a focus on interior design. Today, we are the Decorating Store at Terminal Mill Ends - a nod to the past in our name, with eyes solidly on the future. Under the leadership of Nina's husband, Ernie Spinelli, the location moved to Mountainside with a fresh look and expanded offerings in home décor - furniture, carpet, rugs and accessories. But the legacy of the Alexander family remains - the warmth and helpful atmosphere created all those years ago. Family and fabric - still together after all these years!

Are they for you? What are they? Do I need to own a cafe to have them?

A: Yes, of course. I mean, only if you want them to be.
B: Curtains that start about 1/4 of the way down on your window, letting light in from the top and control from side-to-side. In other words, very customizable.
C: No, but if you're interested in buying a cafe and having us install them there, we won't say no.

This room needed a refresh from head-to-toe. So first we started by suggesting a decluttering of the relatively small room--makes a huge difference.

From there, we used a horizontally on this cornice and installed a textured roller blackout shade underneath--perfect for visiting grandkids to get that extra bit of sleep!

Sometimes it's about function, as much as it's about form.

The original setup in this kitchen--banquette with throw pillows--just wasn't working for this family with young kids. That's where we came in.

Using fabric, the seat cushion now attaches to the platform so it stays in place. Back cushions go over the window sill so you can sit back with ease. Would also like to brag a bit on the beautiful custom job our team did around the corners.

Give it some love, huh? All it needs is a little reupholstery and--poof!--those stains are gone. We used @ -- but you can use whatever you like on your chair.
