Today was my third green bean harvest, and I carefully picked each bean one at a time. Hidden beneath the leaves were more beans than I expected—over 100 fresh green beans from my little garden!

From tiny seeds to a bowl full of homegrown goodness, this harvest is a reminder that patience, care, and consistency always bring a reward. 💚

🌱 Harvested this morning… cooked tonight!

There’s something so rewarding about picking fresh vegetables from your own garden and turning them into a delicious homemade meal. Today’s shrimp chopsuey features my homegrown green beans and lettuce, combined with fresh shrimp and simple ingredients for a healthy, flavorful dinner.

Tonight’s dinner came together in less than 30 minutes! 🐟✨ Air-fried salmon, creamy mashed potatoes with gravy, and tender green beans made for a simple, delicious meal that the whole family can enjoy. My final lettuce harvest of the season 🥬💚

I recently learned that lettuce can also be cooked! Just add it at the end of your dish and turn off the heat. Nothing goes to waste around here 😊 Sharing some with church and freezing some for future Filipino dishes.

Nothing feels more like home than making homemade lumpia for the family.

I rolled 68 lumpia today using ground turkey, onions, celery, and carrots — all ready for the freezer before my son Jason, his wife, and my two granddaughters come visit next week. This has always been one of our family favorites for special occasions or even simple days at home. There’s just something special about food made with love. ❤️

The rain stops….what now?

The rain gave my garden a good soaking a few days ago, but today it’s my turn to take care of these growing veggies. There’s something so peaceful about watering the plants and watching everything thrive one day at a time. Gardening really teaches patience, gratitude, and joy in the simple things. 🌿💚
