Woodgraining on our minds today with a meeting to discuss a new woodgraining project this morning (crotch mahogany - oh yes!), and working on a handpainted floor this afternoon (grained ebony & oak). So of course, looking back on one of our favorite projects - transforming an original paneled room into a cozy woodgrained walnut library. This version is pastellone plaster - walls, shelves, countertops, and cabinet bases seamlessly plastered and waterproof. Then a wire scraped white oak and limed finish on the cabinet doors, a fun collaboration with Chad Bond . From idea to completion & even a feature!

Wednesdays are for the archives. Mixing original plaster with new plaster, you’d never guess what is what. The vision was to preserve a moment in time, even plastered at sunset to capture all the ways the light would bounce around.
