🔥 Fire Damage Restoration — Part 3: Veneer Repairs
For the larger loose sections, good old-fashioned wood glue and clamps was all I needed to get everything secured back down.
For areas where veneer is lifting in the middle of a table or edges, I used a thin CA glue. Because it’s so thin, it can wick down into those tight spaces where getting traditional wood glue underneath the veneer would be difficult. A quick spray of accelerator sets it almost instantly and lets me keep moving.
Making sure everything is solid, secure, and ready for what comes next.
Sometimes restoration is less about replacing what’s damaged and more about figuring out the best way to save what’s already there. 🪵
