Same mantel, new story every year. Halloween is my favorite holiday to decorate for.

Swipe to rewind: a witches print now in its third year (restyled every time), a moody turn in 2023, and all the way back to bright paper bats in 2022.

That’s how I think about every room I design: keep the bones (sometimes literally 💀) and change the mood.

"Erika listened intently to every need, preference, and concern, creating a space that is as functional as it is stunning."

That's the whole job, honestly. Not deciding what I want in the room, but figuring out what my client wants and how to get there.

This client came to me with a vision she didn't know how to bring to life. She wanted moody and well-decorated, but it also had to seat a family of eight and survive them.

We drenched it, lit it properly, and found seating that can handle sticky fingers.

Now the only thing she has to do in here is eat.

Now booking interior design clients for fall!

Olive and June Home is taking on new projects — residential and commercial, in Muncie and the surrounding area, with virtual design available anywhere.

Recent work includes the D20 Dungeon, a color-drenched traditional dining room, and a basement floor plan that turned an unfinished space into six rooms.

Every project starts with an initial consultation: I come to your space, walk through your vision with you, and you get a written summary with my recommended direction and a realistic budget range. It's yours to keep whether we work together or not.

D20 Dungeon storefront fully realized.

One of my favorite projects to date: custom tree sculpture, faux stone walls, and a lot of decisions about how "fantasy immersion" and "retail" could coexist without losing an ounce of either one.
That tree, by the way, deserves its own post — full build breakdown coming soon!

Turns out finishing one project just reveals the next one.

My entryway used to be the drop zone for coats, shoes, bags, you name it. But once the mudroom lockers were complete, everything migrated, and the entryway looked... pathetic.

A couple of hours and two pieces of scrap wood later and the entryway has a whole new personality.

New art day is a good day.

This piece has been on my radar for months—it actually helped determine the cabinet pulls and, more importantly, the controversial bench fabric. The way the pinks and blues repeat between the fabric and the painting? I can't get enough of it. And that contrast against the dark walls? Chef's kiss 😘

Last piece of this mudroom puzzle: a badass console table to go underneath (and then I can finally give this IKEA table back to my kids 🤣). Coming soon.

What if your local game store actually felt like a fantasy world?

The D20 Dungeon taught me something important: people don’t just want places—they want experiences. That idea is guiding the next phase as we transform our former real estate office conference room and lobby into retail space for the D20 Dungeon.

The conference room is becoming The Blacksmith’s Workshop.
The lobby is becoming The Apothecary.

Same building.
A very different kind of energy.
