Techniques you will learn include working with Soft & Stable foam batting, installing a zipper, making long straps, and lining a bag.

Carolyn is super knowledgeable and full of tips to help you along the way. It's a patriotic project you will find yourself using over and over again.

They're all so pretty!! Which ones are your favorites?

Now you can purchase the fabric. You have to wait until at least July 1st before you can take them home. But you can start planning out your projects in the mean time.

Stop by the store to see samples of the fabrics, see all of Karen's super cute creations using these fabrics, and make your pre-order purchase TOMORROW so you are guaranteed to get some!!

🧶Wool & Flannel Wednesday🧶

Although this isn't usually the time of year we think about wool or flannel, it's a great time to get a jump on those cozy fall or winter projects!

We have a LOT of new flannel fabrics (especially if you're needing material for a project for a little one!), many of which aren't pictured here - we have dinosaurs, paw prints, construction machinery, pink Hope ribbons, music notes, flowers, unicorns, and more! We also have solid flannel fabric, which would serve well as batting for a "summer quilt"!

We also have a lot of lovely wool precuts, which are only $5 each! These are pre-cut pieces of high-quality wool, that work great for applique, scrappy projects, and more!

Another month has passed, so let’s welcome in June!! The Featherweight club will meet THIS WEDNESDAY, June 17 at 10:00am.

You will be talking about panels. Different layouts, how to cut, decisions, decisions! These don’t have to be wall hangings, you can use panels for placemats, bags, table runners, unlimited uses.

Bring a panel or buy one of the new ones at MidSouth Sewing Center. You can work on your panel or on any other project you want, just remember to bring all your favorite or necessary supplies to sew.

Also, if you have made something from panels, bring it for show and tell.

Kay has missed several of you at FW club, and hopes you will join them this month. You will laugh, sew some and just enjoy each others company. It is a day for YOU!!

MidSouth Sewing Center first opened its doors in 1966 in a storefront off the Square in downtown Murfreesboro, run by Mr. Marion Bean. Fred & Karen Rouse became the new owners in 2005, and they have maintained the vision of the store to be the go-to location for sewing & embroidering enthusiasts alike! We love what we do, and love helping you find inspiration and joy in this time-honored craft as well!

We are an Authorized Warranty Service Center for Brother, Juki, and HandiQuilter sewing and embroidery machines. We also service Miele, Eureka, Electrolux, and Panasonic vacuums.

We are so proud to be a part of the rich history of Murfreesboro!

And we’re thankful for the many years we’ve been able to serve all your sewing (and vinyl!) needs - and look forward to many more!

Daphne has decided to change things up a bit. Starting this month, she is going to focus on one technique a month. This will allow for more techniques to be offered for you to learn. What a GREAT IDEA!! Don't you agree?

For the rest of June it will be a focus on cross-stitch and hand embroidery. It will be more about learning the technique, understanding how to read patterns, and the best supplies to use.

But this allows you to choose either the Flamingo Toes box or one of our many other patterns to stitch out and enjoy. Don't worry. These classes will still be just as fun as always.

Still call or stop by to sign up so Daphne knows you will be coming. And remember, you will get 15% off any purchase of class supplies on the day of class.
