Our Story

NOS previously located in Troy, NY since 1981 is located at 93 Rockridge Road in Murphy, NC Open 10 -3 Fridays and Saturdays. This little barn is tucked away on my property about 2 miles in from route 64 off Caney Creek Road, Murphy. I also have a location just inside Marketplace Antiques on Peachtree St. in the little downtown of Murphy, NC, which is open 7 days a week. I carry different merchandise at each location. After 33 years in NY my family decided it was time for a change. Although we loved our store in NY we wanted better climate, lower taxes and a slower pace. So the adventure began in 2010 when my husband Gary and I purchased a home in Murphy. What a incredibly beautiful area, so fortunate to have found this area. Every day I am in awe of the layers of mountains. Couldn't get any better in my opinion. Well anyway,` I thought I was going to just retire, but I found myself setting up at Marketplace Antiques. This is a really nice shop with a mixture of New, Old and gently used products from many vendors. I am into my 6th year there and opened my barn location at home May of 2018. I sell retail at this location and plan adding on-line in the near future. Have to admit I am a bit slow at that, so if you see something on facebook and need it shipped just call or text. New products arrive each week filling this little barn to the brim.
