🎨 Okay, I need y’all’s opinions on something!! ❤️

I’ve been looking at bookbinding machines because I’m trying to figure out how to better display our Fern & Fable watercolor books! I have SO MANY other fun collections I want to make, but these little things are still flying under the radar, and I really want y’all to see how cute they are! I’m trying to supply the event you can bring to a sip and paint party over the holidays or regular Tuesdays 🤪

Each packet includes 8 individual 5×7 paintings printed on high-quality watercolor paper for just $12! I intentionally made them with loose pages because I want you to be able to paint them, frame them, gift them, or whatever you want without having to rip half the paper off getting them out of a book!

I think spiral-bound books are cute, too, but the spirals cost more than the sleeves I’m currently using, and I’d have to factor that into the price. And y’all know I work hard to keep things affordable!

But here’s the thing. I’m a person who needs to SEE and FEEL what I’m buying! I want to flip through the pages, see all the designs, and feel the quality of the paper. And right now, you really can’t do that with our packaged sets.

So while I’m figuring out how to merchandise this little bookstore more efficiently (because HOW have we already outgrown it?! 😂), I also want to make some sample books you can actually flip through! I’m thinking little silver binder rings so the pages can turn like a book without changing how the actual packets are sold.

Here’s what I want to know from y’all: Would having ONE sample book to flip through give you a good idea of what our watercolor collections are like? Or would you want to see a sample of EVERY collection so you could look at all eight designs before choosing?

And I brought an edition of our BIG watercolor collections today! 🎃 All Hallows’ Eve is now in Main Character Mercantile on Row 2! Plus, RK Boutique is going to paint some of our mallards so you can see what they’re like! 🦆🎨 I can’t wait!

I really love making these, and I have so many more ideas. I just want to figure out the best way to help y’all discover them! ❤️

🌸 FIRST UP… FLOURISH! 🌸

In the spirit of Flourish, let’s talk about what has flourished over this past year. ❤️ I’ve grown so much since I started this little adventure, but one of the things I’m most thankful for is the friendships it’s brought into my life!

Yesterday I got to have lunch at Dumplin’s of Murray with a couple of my fellow vendors/friends, RK Boutique AND KY Thrift Co., and it was so nice getting to spend some time together! ❤️ One of my favorite things about vendor malls is the people you meet along the way. And while you’re shopping, make sure you check out their booths, too! They’ve been busy bringing in new goodies!

Now, speaking of Flourish… Y’ALL. The primitive pieces in here right now are FANTASTIC!! 😍 And the postcards?! We have TONS of new and vintage postcards, and they are absolutely overflowing! Did I bring too many? Maybe. 😂 But I know they’ll thin out, so I made room for every last one!

There’s also a STUNNING brass lamp and a new piece of art that is just to die for! And naturally, I managed to leave without getting a picture of EITHER ONE. 😂 So you’ll just have to come see those for yourself! And if you want, get a picture for me and tag me 🫣

It’s funny how much can grow from one little idea. A year ago, I was just starting this adventure, and now I’ve got little shops I love, friendships I treasure, and more ideas than I know what to do with. ❤️

📚🔪 BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK DROP!! 🖤🎃

Y’all have been absolutely TEARING UP some books lately, and I cannot thank you enough!! 😂❤️ So naturally, I’ve been busy wrapping and restocking!

MORE THRILLERS THAN EVER! We’ve stocked up on dark, twisty, suspenseful reads just in time for Halloween! And I KNOW those black wraps are what y’all love so much. 😉🌶️ Don’t worry, we’ve got more spicy romance, regular romance, and plenty of other great reads, too!

But let’s talk about these thrillers for a minute. Be honest. Raise your hand if you’ve got at least ONE psychopath in your life. 🙋‍♀️😂 Personally, I’d much rather READ about psychopaths than have to coexist with them!

So come grab yourself a fictional one instead! At least when the characters in a book get on your nerves, you can close it and walk away. Sometimes a good book is exactly the escape we need!

Seriously, THANK YOU for keeping me so busy finding, wrapping, and restocking books. I love that y’all love them as much as I do! ❤️

And y’all, the prices are SO GOOD! These would make perfect Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers, or fun screen-free activities for the whole family! 🎄🎨

Dark reads, twisted tales, and a little heat. 🖤🎃🌶️

Saw this creepy doll today while out seeing Verity, and she felt like the perfect face for this update.

New books are coming your way tomorrow! LOTS of wrapped thrillers for Halloween, plus black-wrapped spicy books! 📚❤️

I also have a TON of regular books priced, labeled, and ready to bring—I’m just not sure what will fit yet! Between the books and all the awesome artsy stuff for House of Ever After, we need a bigger booth pretty bad. 🫠

One of my favorite things is seeing what you discover and take home. People rarely stop at one book! It’s that “Wait, I’ve been wanting these—and look at those prices!” moment… and suddenly you’ve got a stack.

After tomorrow’s drop-off, I’ll be home wrapping even more spicy books. I ran out of black paper and had to wait for more to arrive—you guys have been keeping me busy! 🌶️
