After two weeks of a fabulous vacation in California to visit our sons and see a bit of the coast. I will admit I was looking forward to getting back to my macrame and new found love - wire wrapping, beading abd making “critters!”

In the week I have been back, I’ve made an ant, 8” beaded flamingo, a spider with repurposed beads, two suncatchers, and have started a 2 foot macrame owl 🦉!

Here’s a few pics but the owl is not ready for a photo yet!

A special spider to be gifted soon. Made with the person in mind. My favorite way to create. Pompom bead, glass bugle beads, hematite stars and seed beads along with a large glass green teardrop and pink octagon for the prize!🕷️💕

My newest scorpion. I used beads from my mom’s bracelets and an old necklace of mine. The heart stinger is also my mom’s. There’s a mix of acrylic, plastic, metal and glass. Trying to be biologically accurate is tricky with scorpions!🦂

A spiral suncatcher with a 40 mm prism, AB octagon and ocean blue octagons. Lots of bling! Lots of shine! This is called Pacific - for special reasons!

My first scorpion! 🦂 Measures 4.25” high and 3.5” wide. Made with repurposed jewelry from my mom’s old jewelry as well as glass beads and faceted crystals.
