Knottie Turtle I have fallen for the art of macrame: creating beauty using simple knots and complex patterns. 🪢🐢

A custom dream catcher for a young lady in Charlotte. I worked with her mom to create this beauty to help her with sweet dreams!

I used # 2, 3 and 4 mm cord - 3 ply and Ganxxet single ply, a waxed cord for the web, Czech Republic glass beads, a repurposed rose quartz heart, and clear quartz points in the macrame diamonds. I truly hopes she likes it. Definitely a labor of love 💕🦋!

Florie the Owl is finished. She measures 22 1/2 inches long. A custom glass glass heart, a fun flower and a butterfly complete her look. The light blue will complement the bedroom of the young lady this is going to in Maryland. She loves purple too so I added some light purple. I’m going to let it hang a day or two to make sure I don’t want to add anything else. Klein

Haven’t forgotten about the dream catcher. Pivoted on my bead color and size so patiently waiting (sort of) for some smaller Czech glass beads.

Gathering materials for another commission. This time a friend from my fitness group reached out and asked me to create a giant owl for her young daughter.

I asked a glass artist in St. Pete to make blue hearts for me - the daughter’s room is light blue. I absolutely love the borosilicate hearts and will be including one in the design. I have used a heart from before in the Owl named Big Brother and loved how it turned out.

Inspired by the colors of the flourite lamp in the background I’m going to use similar colors of roving wool and beads - the young lady loves purple too!

Looking forward to getting started.

Come and join 14 talented artists and myself this Sunday, 5/17. We completed the 30 Day Flower Challenge and are hosting an art show. I will have macrame, weaving, sun catchers at my tent in the backyard and of course my owls, Violet, Daisy, Big Brother and Little Owl.

There will be live music and delicious food as well.
