I usually paint in between customers, as one does when you're a one woman show running a store. I've had a vision for this Broyhill cabinet for a while and as much as I love my customers, it's so difficult to continually close my paint, wrap my brush mid stroke, making sure I don't leave a harsh stopping line, then wait over an hour or longer to try and start again, then repeat that process every day.
You do what you got to do being a creative small business owner... and It's been well over a month of those stop and go's, but today after I closed for the day, I was able to hunker down and actually enjoy what I was creating... of course talking to myself all along the way, hahaha, which decision making requires!
Here's the before and a little sneaky peek of what's in the works and I am LOVING it!! I'm about 90% complete with only touch-ups, clean-ups and final touches remaining! It's Fusion Mineral Paint Paisley, Putty, Tapestry, Antiquing Glaze and the IOD - Iron Orchid Designs Grisaille Toile Paint Inlay (with added hand-painting) topped with Fusion White Wax for the win!
This gorgeous lady will be available soon!
