I just saw that Peter Max passed away.
I still have a book cover from back in the day with his design on it.

I saw that today is National Purple Heart Day.
Here are 2 photos of frames I made for the family of a Marine who served in Vietnam. When I was young I remember writing some letters to him while he was in Vietnam.

The first frame has a photo of him being awarded the Purple Heart in Vietnam and on the bottom is the telegram his parents received telling them he was wounded in combat.

The second frame is of his awards received during his service.
He has a Purple Heart with a gold star device signifying that he received a second award for being wounded in combat.

Here's a sneak peek at my photographs that I will have on display (and for sale) at the Arts at the Center this weekend (June 26, 27, 28) at the St. Faustina Cultural Center on W. Church St. I'll post more details about that later.
Stop down to see all the great art by many local artists.

Photo #1: "You're a Grand Old Flag",

Photo #2: "EVICTED: for Warehouses" (this is what 'was' across Kosciuszko St. from LCCC),

Photo #3: "Acid Mine Drainage with Elephant Snot Algae" (special hand finished frame)

Photo #4: "A Robin's Life",

Photo #5: "I'm Ready for my Close-up, Mr. DeMille".

I just saw that June 1 was Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday.
I made this frame a few years back for a customer who was a fan of hers.

Here's something interesting that was on CBS Sunday Morning today.

A current show at the Philadelphia Museum of Art puts the spotlight on a rarely-appreciated component of art: the picture frames that border it. Faith Salie explores the history of framing art, and talks with curator Tara Contractor and frame conservator Chris Ferguson about a craft bordering on exq...
