On average, probably 20-30% of candles have to have their tops melted.

Normally, it’s only 5-10 candles, so it doesn’t take that long.

However, when the order is 650 CANdles, 20-30% turns into A LOT of melting.

Needless to say, it’s a mind numbing part of the job.

A neighbor stopped me and asked me why I was working this weekend.

I said, “I’m grateful every day that I get to wake up and chase my dreams. This weekend, especially, I think about all of those men and women that never got to chase theirs.”

Chase your dreams, hug your kids and/or person, and be grateful for everyone who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Being asked to make candles for that kind of occasion is such an honor, and is one of my favorite parts of the job.

As I was wrapping up farmers market, the last thing that I wanted to do was get back home and keep working.

Then I realized how ungrateful that made me feel.

I’m been making candles for 15 years.

It’s been my full time business for 8 years.

I’m making candles for one of my dream clients, and . A company that I begged the universe to work with for over 10 years.

Add in that the world has gone quiet, the heat broke, and my kids are asleep!

Ugh! I’m so incredibly blessed.

It’s always fun to do large format candles, especially with it’s a growler from a favorite brewery.

Even better? It burned PERFECTLY.
