Introducing the Wauwatosa Tudor Revival. 🤎

As we started designing the kitchen for a 1926 Tudor home celebrating its 100th year, we looked to the house itself for direction. Cabinet door profiles were inspired by original millwork still found throughout the home. Hardware was sourced to complement existing cabinet pulls. The backsplash tile was selected in conversation with materials already present elsewhere in the house. Even the new parquet flooring was designed as a continuation of the home’s original floors, discovered beneath decades of carpeting.

Our hope is that when this kitchen is complete, it will feel less like a renovation and more like a natural continuation of the story of a home that has been deeply loved and is ready to welcome the next century just as beautifully. We’re grateful to play a small role in its ongoing story!

When renovating a newer home, one of our goals is often to create a stronger sense of establishment, individuality, and character. In many ways, that was the vision for our Oak Brook project… a contemporary yet warm interpretation of classic, enduring design.

This project was phased in alignment with our clients’ timing and priorities, with the first installation taking place last January and the second just recently finished. We’re so excited to share the recent updates to this space and reflect on how beautifully this home has come together over the last two years!
