CHECK RECEIVED. IMPACT DEPLOYED.

Yesterday, Kitchen Goat Feeds officially received the 3° Guarantee check from CBS 17—and we’re already putting it to work where it matters most.

This funding is being directed straight into our community outreach initiative in Nash County, in partnership with the Nash County Sheriff’s Office and the Kenly Police Department.

Here’s what that means in real terms:

This program is about boots-on-the-ground care—checking in on cancer patients and their families, making sure they’re not slipping through the cracks, and ensuring they have the support they need beyond just treatment. It’s proactive. It’s personal. It’s local.

These wellness checks go beyond a knock on the door—they’re about making sure people battling cancer have food on the table, resources within reach, and a community that hasn’t forgotten them.

This is exactly what the 3° Guarantee is supposed to do—turn awareness into action.

And now, that action is happening right here at home. Battle of the Barbecue: Cookoff with a CAUSE Food Lion Sheetz

HENRICO — The Lake Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a pro and amateur Battle of the Barbecue event March 20-21 at the Lake Gaston Lions Club, 139 Stanley

🚨 50 DAYS OUT. NO TIME. NO EXCUSES. 🚨

We are officially 50 days out from Battle of the Barbecue, and I don’t have time to shovel snow today. ❄️
So yeah… I’m using a flamethrower.

Because this isn’t about winter weather — this is about raising real money for real people fighting cancer in our communities. And the clock is ticking.

🔥 Battle of the Barbecue is coming March 20–21 at Lake Gaston Lions Club, and right now we need all hands on deck:
• Sponsors who want their name tied to one of the biggest charity BBQ events in the region
• Donors who want their dollars turned directly into grocery and gas gift cards for cancer patients
• Cook teams & contestants ready to throw down pork, ribs, chili, and chicken
• Vendors, volunteers, and participants who want to be part of something bigger than themselves

This event is sanctioned, loud, fun, competitive, family-friendly, and 100% mission-driven. Every dollar raised goes right back into the community helping families who are already fighting the hardest fight of their lives.

So yeah… screw snow.
We’re lighting the fire, clearing the path, and going full throttle toward March.

If you want in — as a sponsor, donor, cook, or supporter — now is the time.

For anybody that saw me on 95 today, I apologize my knee must’ve hit the button to my rear lights. I didn’t realize it. I’m sorry.
