There’s something about the first day of fall that makes home feel just a little more inviting.

This time of year, we’re drawn to the warmth of layered textures, soft lighting, and spaces that make you want to linger a bit longer. Because great design is about more than how a room looks. It’s about how it feels.

Here’s to a season of gathering, slowing down, and here in Tennessee, finally getting a break from this heat wave!

✨ August ✨ Was not always sunshine and rainbows, but it was magic!

Our team poured our hearts into a week-long out-of-state install… only to come home and roll right into another one. 😅 Somewhere in between, I celebrated 12 years with my hubs on the most magical getaway, our girls started 2nd & 3rd grade, we squeezed in time with family and soaked up as many lake days as we could.

It was busy. It was beautiful. It was a little chaotic. And I’m very grateful for all of it. 🤍

So long, summer! You were a good one. ✨

Wendy Smit Interiors is growing and we’re looking for a Junior Interior Designer who’s ready to step into a fast-paced, detail-driven, high-touch design firm.

This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, stays a step ahead, and enjoys being deeply involved in the design process from start to finish. Swipe for more details ➡️.

Only a few more sleeps until my whole family is here filling up our bedrooms and these bunks. When I designed this bunk room, I knew exactly how many more beds we needed to host everyone for the holidays (plus a few extra for some future nieces and nephews 🥰). I love a full home at the holidays and can’t wait for all the cooking, baking and belly laughs over some good vino. 🍷
