Just a quick heads-up—there won’t be a Backstage with Chris livestream tonight.

Ash and I will be up in Dickson hanging out with the amazing Amanda Decker FNP-c, MHP, CKNS and working on some cool projects, so we’re taking this week off.

Don’t worry though—we’ll be back next Tuesday at 6 PM Central ready to talk food, answer your questions, and probably get into a little trouble. 😎

This video is probably going to make some people uncomfortable.

Not because of anything I say about keto.

But because of something I've noticed happening in the keto and carnivore world that I think is hurting far more people than it's helping.

The crazy thing?

Most people don't even realize they're doing it.

I didn't make this video to start a fight.

I made it because I think it's a conversation we desperately need to have.

Today in my comments I’ve been told:

“That line you’re seeing in your stomach in that photo isn’t any muscle. It’s just visceral fat.”

“Don’t let your channel become an infomercial.”

“None of this is carnivore. Why would you even waste time on this? Just eat a steak!”

“You’re a disgusting, rotten flesh eating, evil piece of trash, and you deserve what’s coming to you!”

“Don’t put your stupid affiliate link to your cookbook on the screen. You’re just grubbing for money. Unsubscribing!”

“You talk too much and too long! I lost interest.”

Amongst other things… all in a single day.

On the flip side, I also have SOOO many positive comments thanking me for inspiring people, creating recipes, writing the cookbook everyone has been requesting, talking about stuff exactly like this, and more. And those comments are FAR more common than the negative stuff. Like 1000 to 1 probably

But I tell you that to say this…

Your success isn’t determined by other people. No matter how well you’re doing, someone is going to try to tear you down. It doesn’t mean you’re not doing great!

In fact, the better you do, the more you shine a light on the insecurities of those in the world who aren’t doing anything with their lives. So they want to you to ruin yours if they can, because that’s somehow… better I guess?

I don’t know, I’ve never understood that kind of toxicity and resentment for people you don’t even know in real life.

Who knew trying to create recipes and be kind to people was so upsetting to so many trolls. 😂

My point is this…

Keep your chin up. Keep going. Keep succeeding. And if need be, let the hate and criticism fuel you to succeed that much more and reach those who need you, who value you, and who have your back. Because they’re everywhere, all around you.

Like Ash and I always say to each other when we get this kind of venomous vitriol…

“If you’re not making someone angry, the stuff you’re probably isn’t that impactful.”

So thank you to the haters. You’ve made today quite interesting. And you’ve proven again why the world needs so much more Jesus in it, because this hate thing isn’t doing you or me or anyone else any favors. And only His grace could ever change a heart that wicked.

Eat your meat, love your life. Go spread something good today.

This first photo on the left was taken before I started keto. Sad, depressed, in pain, no hope.

The second photo was taken today as I flexed and saw a subtle outline of muscles for the first time in probably 15 years.

Am I at my goal weight? Nope.

Do I still have work to do? Absolutely.

But if anyone wants to know whether low-carb eating works, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

The biggest mistake people make is thinking transformation only counts when you reach the finish line. And we’re constantly comparing our current status to someone else’s finish line.

The truth is that real transformation happens in the middle, during the messy part where you’re still showing up, still learning, still making progress, and still refusing to quit.

That’s where I am right now.

My upcoming Shred Protocol is working. The gym is working. Consistency is working.

Not because I’m perfect, but because I’ve been consistently working to get better a little at a time.

I’ve lost a lot of weight already (130ish pounds), and I’m not done yet.

This isn’t a highlight reel. This is the real process.

No BS. No magic pills. No shortcuts.

Just thousands of small decisions stacked on top of each other.

My weight has gone up and down on this journey. But the trend is obviously positive.

So who cares if I’m not “there” yet. The reality is I’M HERE! And I didn’t used to be! And THAT is how I remember to never quit chasing progress one day, and one small choice, at a time.

Not bad for the “fat carnivore” as the haters like to label it. Shed your labels with me, my friends. Let’s DO THIS!!!
