Kayce Hughes - Daily Art is one of our October featured artists! 🎨
Kayce Hughes has been dreaming up and creating colorful things for as long as she can remember. A studio art major in college, she explored drawing, painting, and photography before beginning her career in fashion, first working for Ralph Lauren in New York and later creating her own line for children and women.
In 2016, Kayce returned to her roots and began pursuing art full time. Today, she spends her days in her Nashville studio creating everything from small works on paper to large-scale canvases. Her home, filled with vintage treasures, painted furniture, and creative details, serves as an extension of her artistic practice and a place for constant experimentation.
For Kayce, creating art is deeply connected to the idea of home. Her colorful, expressive pieces bring that same sense of personality and creativity to the spaces of collectors and design lovers alike.

KJ Parish | Do Make Books is one of our October featured artists! 🎨
KJ (Kristina Johnson) Parish is a Nashville-based artist, illustrator, author, and designer whose creativity spans everything from books and illustration to one-of-a-kind ceramics. She has been designing and illustrating books for Thought Catalog Books since 2015 and is also the author and illustrator of the children’s books A Squiggle Is Just A Squiggle and Ride.
KJ is also the artist behind Local Venom, her Nashville-based creative label inspired by the weird and wild beauty of the natural world. Through Local Venom, she brings her distinctive illustrations to functional art, hand-painted ceramics, apparel, and home décor. Her ceramic pieces begin with hand-drawn illustrations and are individually painted, carved, glazed, and fired, making each piece a truly one-of-a-kind work of functional art.
Blending art and everyday function, KJ creates pieces that feel imaginative, unexpected, and completely individual.
