If there is one hill our studio will die on, it is lighting temperature.
Nothing ruins a great room faster than mixed lighting. When your table lamp is throwing soft amber and your ceiling cans are blasting clinical blue, your eye catches the chaos immediately. It makes gorgeous textures look flat and throws off every surface in the room.
Stick to one rule across the board: 2700K in every fixture, 3000K absolute max. Then put every single switch on a dimmer. A home should invite you to exhale at the end of the day, not feel like you are sitting under an interrogation lamp. Warm it up, dial it back, and let the room settle in with you.
