This entryway design morphed through the three years we worked on this renovation. In the end, our travertine console didn’t arrive in time for our photo shoot, but our friends came through and lets us borrow one of their custom consoles. The truth behind design is that it’s always evolving and that’s part of the creative process.

We turned what was once a formal dining room on the main floor into a laundry room in the OH Lakehouse. It’s all about re-imagining your space during a renovation. And if your laundry is going to be in a central location, you’ve gotta make it pretty.

I loved using a mix of materials in these two spaces. Solid stone island, rope light fixture, blackened walnut and oak, and a massive abstract. Playing with materials is one of my favorites parts of the job.

For the playroom at the we had the fun task of creating an imaginative space for the three sweet siblings who live there. I love kids spaces because it makes design a little less serious and a lot more playful. Looking forward to having more tiny design clients this year 🥰.

To create a scullery/pantry at the we relocated the laundry room and combined two spaces. For a family of five, nothing beats the function of having extra storage, a dedicated coffee station, a second sink and dishwasher, and more fridge space. Renovations can be a bit of a puzzle, but we love a good challenge!

Can’t believe we are wrapping up 2024 — and once again have found myself reflecting back on the good and the hard from this past year. Life is such a mixed bag, but I feel blessed and grateful for this life that I have ✨. CKI has wrapped some incredible projects this year and are excited for what’s to come in 2025. I feel unbelievably lucky to get to do this for a living, and will never get over that people entrust us to create homes for their families. Cheers to the past, the amazing highs, the hard lessons we’ve learned, and to the future unknown. And thank you to all who have followed along for the ride. We love and appreciate you!
