We have opened back up in our old location! We had our first day back today and it was so much fun seeing everyone. We will be opening full time in April and we will be here until Kiss The Cook moves in. Come see us soon!! 🦋🦋

Sometimes situations happen that force you to make a change. It may be a planned change or a change you did not see coming.

My daughter has grown up at this shop. She has spent many sunny days and weekends here with me. She has missed school vacations when her friends are at the beach because she sits here with me. Sometimes she is sad to be here so much but most of the time she tells me that she loves our little store in Nashville.

She has learned about starting a business and building it from the ground up and about the hard work it takes to start a small businesses and raise a kid. She has seen her mom succeed and now she sees the financial struggle a small business can be hit with out of the blue. I am a single mom so I do not have the option of waiting for things to pick back up. This virus has hit many of us devastatingly. And, with this store being my only income, unfortunately the bills keep coming even when the funds do not. I have to do what is best for myself and my kid at this time. So....... things are changing and I must change with them.

After almost 6 years I am closing the brick and mortar part of Mariposa and taking it all on-line. In the next couple months the on-line store will be up and running and ready for orders. We are starting from scratch again but we are up for this next challenge. I have had many customers ask over the years if I ever plan on opening an online side to Mariposa and the answer is YES!! Now is the time for the next phase of Mariposa.

While I will miss seeing everyone face to face, please know that I have enjoyed and appreciated each and every customer, now friend, I have met. I will keep an update here of our progress for this next phase of our store and when Mariposa Nashville is ready and re-opened for online business.

It is not goodbye, it is hello new opportunity!!!

I have edited this post to say how much I appreciate all of your love and support!! Your messages of encouragement are helping me stay positive in a very uncertain, scary time. I feel very blessed for the donations and for the love from customers that have become like family to us!! Words can't express how much this means to my daughter and myself. It amazes me that in times like this, when we are all uncertain and scared, that people still help!! I am fighting to still be there when we can open up again. Hoping to see everyone soon!
