We’re back at Musicians Corner! One of our favorite ever places to set up (peep the old NBP booth). It’s FREE-ninety-nine and one of the best experiences to watch live music in Nashville because not only will you see amazing headliners but emerging indie artists as well.. you can say “I saw them way back when” about them when they’re playing Bridgestone in a couple years. Choosing the music for this post was actually so hard because we’re huge fans of so many of these artists- especially Laney Jones and the Spirits who we met “way back when” eating at Slim + Husky's Pizza first location in Salemtown. But we’ve been seeing Nikki Lane all over the place since Chris and I were dating! Favorite show might have been at the Frist Art Museum She let us pop up at High Class Hillbilly right after the 2020 tornado with our El Camino mobile setup “way back when.” And congrats to her for expecting her first and still playing shows what a bad 🍑! And Rayland Baxter , I mean he’s just a star and his songs will be stuck in our heads for days after tonight. I don’t even remember the first time we saw him but it’s been a lot! Honestly everyone on this lineup is so good and Centennial Park Conservancy Lightning 100 Musicians Corner have created something so special here. Please come out and say hey, we would love to see you this weekend!

This was last week. Just haven’t been right since we got the news. I honestly didn’t know people outside of Tennessee felt the same way about her because she’s so beloved locally. But every time I’ve gotten online I just keep seeing more reasons to appreciate her and then I feel sad again! Knowing what she dealt with health wise has really inspired me because I have similar issues. I’m just so amazed at all she managed to do despite it. What a woman! Rest in Paradise Dolly. 🦋

Part 4 of how we killed our social enterprise Nashville Blanket Project… but here’s the growth part, before the crash and burn.

You’re looking for home decor and gifts that do more for the people and the planet; we’re looking for likeminded folks that believe a better world is not just possible but worth the extra effort. Here’s what we mean by that:
•our blankets are made in the USA, to ensure they’re ethically made and to make sure that our neighbors have work.
•they’re made from 100% cotton, NOT acrylic or polyester (plastic). They don’t get crunchy from the dryer or turn to felt. They just get softer over time.
•our blankets are woven by solar power, not fossil fuels.
•for every blanket you purchase, one is given to a neighbor in need. You help keep our communities cozy and we couldn’t do it without you.
Whether you’re shopping for new decor or a gift, think about what you’re choosing to support with your hard earned money. And then pick Faircloth 😉

All of these photos are so important to us and where we’ve been. From the time we had a store and the mayor came to visit, to joining Pride, the time our blankets and hats were in REI, growing our family and giving us renewed purpose, seeing customers join in the movement, being part of a huge music festival in our hometown, being supported by the farmers’ market community, and to our very first customer Lindsey… it may not say Faircloth but it’s all part of where we’ve come from and we’re so humbled and honored to have experienced so much love the past 8 years. Faircloth is the future but NBP will always be part of our DNA. ✌🏻
