For this Creative Lounge concept, several priorities emerged:

• Hospitality

• Storytelling

The client’s love of jazz, meaningful conversation, and collected objects inspired a concept rooted in warmth, creativity, and personal expression.

Before a single furniture piece is selected, the vision must be clear.

Because great design is not simply about what a space looks like.

It’s about what the space is meant to do.

This is where observations become intention.

This is where direction is established.

This is where design begins.

For this Creative Lounge concept, the discovery revealed a love of jazz, meaningful conversation, entertaining, and spaces that feel deeply personal.

Before the room existed, there were notes.

Before the notes, there was listening.

Because great design doesn’t begin with furniture.

It begins with understanding the life being designed around.

Long before I became an interior designer, those experiences were quietly shaping how I would one day see the world.

Before a room is furnished, styled, or installed, there is a foundation—a carefully curated palette of materials, textures, finishes, and details that shape how a home will ultimately feel.

For the 12 South Collection, that story began with camel leather, bouclé, walnut, aged brass, layered textiles, and collected pieces that reflect a lifestyle rooted in creativity, culture, and connection.
