It was neglected.

The glass was heavily clouded from combustion buildup, burner performance was uneven, and the lower compartment wiring was unsecured.

When glass starts turning white like this, it’s not just cosmetic.

It usually means the system isn’t burning optimally.

We removed the glass, cleaned it properly, adjusted the burner, secured the ignition system, and restored the correct flame pattern.

Most roof leaks don’t start from missing shingles.

They start here.

Around small pe*******ons like this vent pipe.

Before:

• Exposed nail pe*******ons
• Minimal seal protection
• No reinforced membrane
• Aging flashing line

That’s how water slowly tracks under shingles and rots decking over time.

We removed the weak seal, secured the termination properly, installed a storm collar, and built a reinforced waterproof barrier around the pe*******on.

Now the vent is:

This wasn’t a “quick fix.”

This fireplace had:

• Outdated log set
• Improper ember distribution
• Poor flame presentation
• Carbon buildup
• Uneven burner performance

It was working.

But it wasn’t performing.

We removed the old system, installed an upgraded log configuration, rebuilt the ember bed correctly, cleaned the firebox, and rebalanced the burner for proper flame distribution.
