This piece is very near and dear to my heart. It’s finally finished, and it carries a lot of my own story within it.
I live with seasonal depression and ADHD, and there are days when everything can feel heavy, dark, and overwhelming. But over time, I’ve learned that I don’t have to stay in that place. I can find my way back to the light. I can choose not to let worries, difficult seasons, or other people pull me down. I can lift myself up, look toward the brighter side, and trust that the darkness will pass.
That’s what this piece represents to me — the contrast between the hard days and the hopeful ones, and knowing there is always another side to reach.
If this painting spoke to you, where would you hang it? In a bright, welcoming living room, a moody bedroom, or somewhere completely different?
