When I create art, it almost always comes from a feeling first.

Sometimes it’s inspired by nature… the colors in a garden, the peacefulness of water, wildflowers growing freely, or simply the way the light hits the trees at sunset.

Other times it comes from something deeper — a memory, an emotion, a season of life, or something I’ve walked through personally. That’s why alongside my nature-inspired work, I also love creating expressive figures.

Those pieces reflect emotion in a very raw and honest way. They tell stories without words and often hold pieces of my own experiences within them. My hope is that maybe somewhere in those emotions, colors, and expressions… you see a piece of yourself too. 💜

When a space finally became available for me to open my studio for people to come in and create, I was SO excited… because this space is truly for all of you. 💜

A peaceful place to slow down, relax, laugh, create, and reconnect with yourself for a little while. No pressure. No perfection. Just creating from within. 🎨

Join me June 12 from 5–8 PM for this beautiful Umbrella Workshop at Shannon Olson Art Studio! We’ll be painting this fun floral umbrella design together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

All supplies are provided, and I’ll be there to help guide you every step of the way. Whether you’ve painted many times or have never picked up a brush before, you are welcome here.

💜 My heart is smiling today. 💜

One of my students surprised me with a handmade card, and I can’t even begin to express how much it means to me. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it truly warmed my heart.

One of the greatest joys of teaching is helping kids explore different art styles, think outside the box, and discover their own creativity. When one of them takes the time to create something for me, it feels like everything comes full circle. I am overjoyed, humbled, and so grateful for each and every one of these young artists.

I genuinely love spending time with these kids and watching their confidence and creativity grow. My hope is that they continue creating and exploring art for years to come.

If you have a child between the ages of 7 and 14 who would love to create on canvas, I’d be happy to help them get started in one of my classes. And if you’re an adult who has always wanted to begin your own creative journey, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to help you build your skills, explore your creativity, and reach your artistic goals.

Join me Friday, June 12, from 5:00–8:00 PM for our Upside Down Umbrella Canvas Workshop! This colorful and cheerful painting is the perfect way to relax, unwind, and enjoy an evening of creativity with friends.

Bring a friend and spend a fun evening creating something beautiful at my studio, located at 319 M Street, Suite 4, Neligh. Refreshments will be available. 

Please reserve your seat ahead of time so I can have your canvas sketched and all materials prepared for you. I can’t wait to paint with you and see everyone’s unique creations

Thank you, Lisa for coming to open studio night. I’m so glad you were able to get your patriotic door hanger done.

Just a reminder that once a month, I will have open studio night, this is for anyone who sees a workshop that they missed and would like to revisit that painting or door hanger, or if you have a current project you’re working on and would like to bring it in for help, I’m here to help guide you to see that project come to light.
