Thank you for sharing 💞
Sometimes God puts people in our path for reasons we don't immediately understand.
This weekend, our family was blessed by Gene and Pam from Scrap Happens. Anyone who knows our youngest son, Mr. T, knows how much he loves crosses and how deeply rooted his faith is. Throughout the car show, he kept going back to a cross at their booth. He admired it all day but kept saying, "I'm sorry, I don't have any money."
What happened next touched our hearts forever.
Gene and Pam gifted Mr. T the very cross he had been admiring. We thought they were simply blessing our son with an incredible act of kindness.
Then on Sunday morning, Pam reached out to us.
We spent time talking, sharing stories, laughing, crying, and connecting in a way that only God can arrange. During our conversation, Pam shared something that touched my heart deeply. She told me that Gene talked all night about the smile on Mr. T's face when he received that cross. She said seeing our son's excitement brought a genuine smile to Gene's face, and that moment meant more to them than words could express.
Pam wrote:
"Sometimes the smallest things create the biggest impact, and that moment will stay with me for a very long time."
Those words reminded me that kindness is never one-sided. What Gene and Pam thought was a gift to our son became a blessing shared between two families.
To Gene and Pam, thank you. Thank you for your kindness, your faith, your generosity, and your friendship. Thank you for reminding us that God's love often shows up through ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
The cross now hangs proudly with Mr. T, but the memory of your kindness will stay in our hearts forever.
Faith brought our paths together, and for that we are incredibly grateful. ❤️✝️
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." — 2 Corinthians 5:7
I think the most powerful part of this story is that it wasn't really about a cross at all. It was about faith, kindness, and two families encouraging each other exactly when they needed it most. ❤️🙏✝️
"Let all that you do be done in love." — 1 Corinthians 16:14 🙏❤️🙏
