Kiddo "Spot Light" goes to this Senior beauty here. This request came in for a Traditional Silver and White Senior Mum for Wylie East High School. The only request was BIG and BLINGY.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this piece. I love the whole elegance of this mum and this young woman completed the look with her pure soul and love for God.

Congradulations on your senior year and upcoming graduation. May God bless you abundantly and my best wishes to you on your next chapter into adulthood. Thank you for trusting me with your last high school mum. I'm so glad you love it.

To piggyback on the spot light post from yesterday, these young men are both Seniors at Forney High School. As a mum maker, I try real hard to make every mum/garter different. That sometimes can be a challenge, especially towards the end of the season, and also when they go to the same school, are in the same grade, and they know each other. I was glad to accomplish that with these two and they were happy with their garters.

My apologies for the delay in getting some kids and their mums spot lighted. I've been nonstop super busy. I will definitely work on getting better on posting more on a consistent basis. But without further or do:

These sister beauty's definitely challenge my creativity and artistic skills in mum making, and I thank you for that. They both have hearts of gold, and I'm almost 100% positive they get that from their mother. I am so grateful for them and their never-ending support of me and my small business journey.

The Rose Gold Gem is a Junior and is involved in just about all extracurricular activities offered at International Leadership of Texas. Her request for a Triple Rose Gold mum had me excited because I had always wanted to work with that color and she was the first. However, her request for the bear plushie wearing a cheer uniform, holding a soccer ball, had me a little nervous if I was going to be able to pull it off. Plushie Cheer uniform was completely hand-made without a sewing machine. Challenge accepted, and she loved it.

The Teal Jewel is a Senior with Richland Collegiate High School and is an all American soccer player. Her senior mum request ultimately led to her giving me full rein of my own creativity, with just a few specific requests. Although that would be a dream for some mum makers, it had me racking my brain for that "outside the box" mum. This was by far the largest mum I've done to date and I fell in love with the color scheme. I will miss doing another mum for her, being that she will soon be a High School graduate. I thank you for allowing me to take my own creativity to new heights. Congratulations to you and all your accomplishments thus far and best wishes and many blessings for your future.

To the mother of these two amazing young women, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to create these masterpieces for your beloved girls. Also, for all your support and encouragement through the entirety of this extremely hectic homecoming mum season. You are a rock star and a blessing.

This gorgeous gal is our "Spot Light" kiddo today! I have done mums for her the last 2 years.. her Freshman year (right) and this year, sophomore (Left). She is involved in all things Agriculture. 4H & FFA. She is an awesome showman and excels in the show ring.

One of the many toughest things for mum makers is how to make mums better than the last one.

Here a little taste of the homecoming madness I experienced this season.

If you purchase your mums from another individual or business, I just asked that you are gracious in respects to their cost, creativity, timeline/deadlines, and payment/refund policy. If you have never constructed and put together a mum or garter, I encourage you to do so, at least once. There is a lot of heart, sweat, tears, sleepless nights, time away from their families and many many hours that go into these creations. And many mum makers also work a day job, so these we do, not so much for the money (believe me, most are under priced) but for the joy that it brings the kids.

So please stay humble with your mum makers.
