It’s been a minute 📸….

Over spring break we hopped on a plane and took a last minute, quick trip to Miami. I wanted to give her some sort of senior-year-spring-break experience amidst all the chaos that’s happened this year…just so we could just step away for a minute. Even with the clouds and rain we squeezed in an impromptu beach photo sesh, layed like broccoli, laughed silly, ate the best pastries (not pictured because we scarfed them too fast), talked to chatty strangers, shopped a little, and even fully saw the sun on our last day. I haven’t been in the mood to post much, but I know I want to feel these memories for years to come. And hopefully travel more with her 🤎 ✈️

(Bonus: she navigates the airport like a boss ✊🏻)

When you go to an out of town basketball tournament over the weekend and come back with an amazing FB Marketplace find! I’ll be giving this space more of a holiday vibe soon, but for now she’s perfect here 😍

Good Saturday Morning ✨🍂

Unpopular opinion: I’m not ready to let go of moody, fall decor. My feed is filled with Christmas and I’m just not feeling it. I need to find that perfect statement (or supplemental) piece to get me excited for holiday decorating (and no it’s not the tree for me.) For fall it was my vintage “fall” lamp find (that currently lives on my fireplace) that got me in the mood to style for cozy season 🍁

I definitely will be hitting the thrift stores to try and gather some vintage, Christmas inspo. Sometimes it’s a pillow, or a lamp or a rug that will spark an idea so I’m just over here waiting….

In the meantime, just for a fun look, I did throw down one of the “rag rugs” I used for the 18th bday celebration last weekend. (I scored several for $5 at Five Below! 🙌🏻)

Fun fact: I love photography almost as much as decorating and my dream is to decorate my home and have it appear in a magazine….an actual print magazine and not the web! 😁📸

Sunday stills of fall treasures + vignettes because I cannot for the life of me muster up the energy to get out all of my Halloween decor. Spooky season has always been one of my favorites, but I feel like I haven’t had the time to truly dedicate a vision in-between running around with kiddos and our busy schedules.

I will probably dig out a few things (out of sheer guilt), or throw some black birds into my existing fall vibe…🐦‍⬛ Anyone else feel like there is just no time and your wheels are spinning? Everything is happening so fast. So here’s to the attempt to slow down and know that just because social media looks perfect, life is not and we are all very busy people.

I hope this can bring some inspo to your October feed. Happy Sunday friends 🤎
