Christmas in July continues! 🎄☀️

Here’s another project I created using things I found around the studio—and I have to admit, this one made me smile. 😊

With a canvas, a wooden ball, a little paint, and some greenery, this simple Santa came together in no time. It’s proof that you don’t need complicated supplies to create something fun and festive!

One of my favorite parts of Christmas in July has been rediscovering the simple joy of creating.

Mom and I couldn’t wait for our miniature figurines to arrive, so we raided the studio and made these little winter scenes with whatever we could find. It reminded me of the craft kits we used to make years ago—you didn’t need fancy supplies, just a little imagination.

What Christmas decoration instantly takes you back to your childhood?

CHRISTMAS IN JULY is the perfect excuse to start rediscovering the memories that make the holidays special and exploring projects that will eventually find their way to SpaceCraft reative Studio.

I celebrated the holiday crafting with my mom on Friday and creating virtually with my sister on Saturday. There is nothing quite like spending time with family and friends while making something with your hands.

One project I couldn’t wait to create is a SpaceCraft version of the classic ceramic Christmas tree. I am instantly taken back to my Grandmother’s house at Christmastime when I see a lighted ceramic tree. She wasn’t one for elaborate decorations, but every year she would display her beautiful ceramic Christmas tree. That soft glow became part of my Christmas memories, and even today, seeing a ceramic tree takes me right back to those special moments.

Thats what I love about Christmas decorations—They’re more than decor. They’re memories.

I am excited to share this as one of SpaceCraft’s limited-edition Christmas kit projects (while supplies last), and I can’t wait to see how each person makes their own.

The last six months haven't gone quite the way I imagined.

When I first announced SpaceCraft Creative Studio, I fully expected to be opened much sooner. But like many small business owners, I've learned that opening a business isn't always a straight line. Life happens, priorities shift, and sometime the journey takes a few unexpected turns.

The unexpected blessing has been time.

Time to rethink the layout. Time to organize the studio into a more logical, creative, and productive space. Time to add new tools and supplies. Time to make sure that when the doors open, SpaceCraft Creative Studio will be everything I envisioned--and more.

Now, as we enter the final stretch. I'm excited to start sharing what I've been creating! Over the next several weeks, I'll be posting project samples, creative inspiration, and sneak peeks of experiences you'll be able to enjoy at SpaceCraft Some projects will be self-directed allowing you to create at your own pace using the studio's tools and supplies. Ohers will be instructor-led workshops where we'll learn and create together.

I can't wait to welcome you to SpaceCraft Creative Studio. The countdown has begun!

Winter at SpaceCraft ❄️🛸

Last week marked the start of our January–February soft opening.
With winter conditions sticking around, we’re pressing pause on public activities this week and will pick back up in February.

❄️ Weather Update ❄️
With single-digit temps on Friday, we have decided to close the studio and pause all activities for now. With the severe winter storm headed our way, we know everyone’s focus should be on staying safe, warm, and prepared.

I’ll be curled up by the fire finalizing our website and polishing up the February calendar while the snow flies. 🔥📅

✨ A Quick Update on Our Opening Date ✨

We originally targeted January 15th for our opening, but as we put the finishing touches on the studio and tie up a few loose ends, we’ve decided to shift our opening to January 21st.

We’re so close and want to make sure everything is just right before welcoming you in. We’’ll also be sharing our February class schedule very soon, so keep an eye out! Thank you for your patience and excitement—we can’t wait to craft, create, and collaborate with you. 🚀
