Many customers call us because they have problems with their fireplaces. The number one problem is "Why is my house cold when I use my fireplace and why does cold air fall out of my fireplace when I am not using it?"

A jobsite investigation is required to assess these problems. Many times the problems are multi-faceted and a game plan is developed to address the problems.

Since open burning fireplaces are extremely inefficient and aid in the development of cold drafts in the home, the installation of a high efficiency gas burning fireplace insert may be included in the checklist of needed changes.

High quality direct vent gas inserts with a steady state efficiency range of 72%-86% operated from a remote control thermostat will keep the cold in check and also work as an emergency backup heating system should the electric power fail.

I am forever amazed and captured by the beautiful flame show produced from our Fireplace Xtrordinair, Lopi and Avalon woodburning fireplace inserts. The flame show is awesome and this unit is heating 2000 sq ft. I am adjusting the air control to maximize secondary combustion and to extend burn time to last over night!
