Happy Finished Object Friday!
(Me Edition)

I just finished up this fun textured scarf!

I was trying out a potential new yarn for the shop from Cascade Yarns, unfortunately I didn’t quite have enough to finish the last texture panel of pattern so I created my own ending!

75% Extra-Fine Merino, 25% Silk
Worsted Weight

Happy Finished Object Friday!
(Community Edition!)

John stopped by for Stitch & B*tch on Wednesday evening and finished up his Tunisian Crochet Cowl!

He used two skeins of hand-dyed DK weight yarn by our wonderful local Indy-dyer Chrystee! Chrystee Governo to create a “city sidewalk in fall” inspired texture.

It just so happens that Chrystee also showed up that evening to stitch with us and she did approve of his choices!

Happy WIP Wednesday!

This good boy’s name is Diego.

Diego’s Dad is gifting himself (and Diego) a hand made “Halloween Costume” sweater (by yours truly) to mark his One Year Sober-versary!

I was happy to say yes to this project and am doing my best to create a “Skunk Sweater” for a puppers that I haven’t met with only an obviously too small ripped Xmas sweater to go from. 🤞🏼

I started by choosing a machine wash wool blend chunky weight yarn from Cascade and Berroco.

Then came the tummy panel (that I may need to redo)

Next I hand drafted a colorwork chart and chose double knitting as the desired technique to make it dog friendly and nice and warm, Diego gets cold, he’s used to island temperatures.

Here’s hoping I get this special gift finished in time for Halloween!

Two skeins of Viva, Matcha (MC) and Spring Blush (CC) were more than enough for this beautiful hat and fingerless mitts set!
