September Trinket Craft Night 🌈⚡️

Welcome back Trinket Trove Craft Night! - a series where we create a new whimsical craft each month.

This month’s craft is…..
DIY Photo Frames! 📸

Personalize your own one-of-a-kind photo frame with paints, embellishments, colorful charms, stickers, gems, and more!
Feel free to bring some of your favorite photos to display in your finished frame to complete the design, or create one as a thoughtful gift for someone special.

All materials for this craft night such as 4x6 wooden photo frames, adhesives, and other crafting supplies are included with your ticket as well as snacks and soft beverages to share while you create! However, feel free to bring any of your own materials to use as well!

This is a low-pressure, judgment-free space to hang out, get crafty, and leave with something meaningful (and adorable).
Perfect for friends, solo-crafters, & sentimental creatives 💖
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
(kids ages 7 and up are welcome with parental supervision)

( 1 Frame per person - extra frames available at an additional cost if you’d like to make more than 1 )

Happy Finished Object Friday!
(Community edition-forgot to post last week 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Kristi came by during Friday morning Stitch & B*tch to show off her finished vest!

She finally found the perfect pattern for the Noro Yarns Rikka that she had picked up in the shop this past spring!

Like many of us, Kristi loooooves Noro yarn and is about to cast on another vest! She’s a vest machine 😎

Rikka is a gorgeous bulky weight blend of 57% Wool, 22% Alpaca, 21% Silk

BARBIE!

My “Teen Talk Barbie” is now “Back to School Barbie” sporting her fabulous new outfit made from Cascade Yarns Cotton Sox with the help of Grandma Bacchiocchi’s old doll clothes patterns!

Her skirt is a crochet patterns from 1984 and her sporty letter jacket is a knitting pattern from 1996!

DUCKS!!

Did you know that ducks in flight are called a skein, just like geese?

Well a skein of ducks have just landed at NBFA and I’m getting them ready for their cold weather stay with the help of Grandma Bacchiocchi’s crochet cotton! (various discontinued brands and patterns from my brain)

Happy WIP Wednesday!

Officially adding myself to the family tradition of making doll clothes by knitting and crocheting my “Teen Talk Barbie” a back to school outfit to celebrate the shifting season!

I’ve been slowly compiling collections of vintage fiber arts patterns that span from the 1930s-1990s, most of them coming from both sides of my family.

The cleaning out of my paternal family home is complete and the majority of the contents of this binder came from my Grandmother Mildred Bacchiocchi.

While we are still in the process of cleaning out my Maternal family home, it’s been allot of fun to finding usable crafting treasures, complete and incomplete projects as well as MANY MANY patterns and tools. Three generations of crafty women lived in that house, there’s mountains of crochet lace, fillet crochet, needlework and tatting from my Great-Great Grandma Malagutti. Knitting, sewing, rug hooking and chair caning from her daughter, my Great-Grandma Norma and her sister Elenor. Knitting, sewing, quilting, pattern making and painting from her daughter, my Grandma Louise.

I come from a long line of makers, it’s in my DNA and I’m grateful to be a part of their legacy.

Come by the shop to check out some of their handiwork, I have examples from each of the above women and will be adding more in the future!
