I love love love how this piece turned out 🔥

A while back I found these THICK bark edge 23 inch planks from and sat on them deciding what to make. I was dying to burn them!

This piece is for a lovely coworker, a family name sign. This is actually my second one with this style of wood, I just forgot to take photos of the first one. 🤦‍♀️

I ended up buying 4 more in hopes of making some more of these. 🔥

Lord of the rings - Middle Earth Map

Now that Christmas has passed, here was one fun piece I made for a coworker’s dad for a Christmas gift this year.

This was a bit of a labor of love, as the tiny details were pretty tedious to burn.

I am super happy how this came out, though and I think it was a great gift for a lord of the rings lover!

Only complaint is some of the VERY tiny details like names were a little hard to translate onto the wood, but it’s pretty obvious that you’re looking at a map, so the general idea is still there.

I burned this piece on a live edge plank, using my colwood burner.
