We have another monumental collection we are sorting through and organizing in an estate in San Marcos. This is just a fraction of the jewelry in this home. And if you think this is a lot you haven’t seen anything yet. I’ll be posting photos daily as we get through this house. We’ve been working on it for about a week uncovering all the treasures! There’s enough clothing, bags, jewelry and accessories to open a department store! Stay tuned! We are looking to hold this one October 23-25th in San Marcos, weather permitting. A large portion of the clothing will be under huge pop up tents in the back yard.

We are very nearly recovered from the marathon of rather large properties we’ve done back to back this year. This was the crowd from our record breaking sale in San Antonio last month. We learned a lot from that sale and have implemented an entirely new line up system that makes everyone happy. We received rave reviews from everyone that attended our sale in New Braunfels last week.

We still can’t control how many people will show up but at least you can see in real time, due to posting a live feed of the number counter which clearly lets you know where you are in line. And we are gathering valuable data based on how many people are getting in per hour. We’ll be able to more accurately gauge how long a wait will actually be based on the size of the house going forward, something online sign ups just can’t offer.

It’s still first come first served but we will now be releasing the address at 6am the morning of the sale so people aren’t having to camp out over night at the estate house. We also start handing out numbered tickets for entry instead of signing up on a list. This makes getting in much faster because calling a number is easier and more efficient than trying to read names off of a list.

For larger sales we will always have a rented Porto potty on site for customers to use because in most houses we just can’t allow a public restroom, for reasons I’m sure you can imagine.

All that said, we are taking a good solid 10 days off before we start our next sale. We’ve turned down 5 sales and passed all those along to other companies we work with because we needed a little R&R. Right now my main focus is visiting with family and finishing up some very pressing projects we’ve needed to get done. We’ll be doing 2-3 more sales this year and then taking most of December off 🙂 We love y’all and hope to see you all soon!

Address release for this weekend’s sale:
893 Encino Dr., New Braunfels TX. The sale runs 9/18-9/20, 9-4 each day.
If you missed our previous post we are doing the line up process differently going forward. The address is released everywhere at 6am. At 7:00am we will start handing out numbered tickets starting with #1. Please put your ticket somewhere safe as this is your entry into this sale. If you lose your ticket you will need to get another and start over at the end of the line. Photos of tickets will not be accepted. You must present your physical ticket upon entry. You may take one extra ticket for a +1

Our big San Antonio Treasure hunt sale is nearly here. You can click on the link in our bio for all the info, descriptions and hundreds of photos.
Some things to note:
1.) A blank sign up sheet goes out with our door guy at 7am Thursday 8/27, 8am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you arrive early please for a line in front of the house.
2.) We will not honor place holders to hold you place in line. So do not drop off chairs, bags, boxes etc and leave thinking that holds you place in line. This is not fair to everyone driving from out of town.
3.) We have rented a Porto Potty for your convenience and we will be putting out coolers full of ice cold bottled waters until they run out and there are beautiful shade trees all over the front yard 🙂
4.) If you’re arriving very early please keep the noise to a minimum and no trolling around the back of the property. We are spending the night on site tonight to ensure the security of this house.
5.) We have 5 security cameras all over the house so please be on your best behavior. They will be monitored.
6.) No large bags or tote bags for shopping. We have 45 open top shopping baskets to use during the sale. If you arrive with tote bags you’ll be asked to take them to the hold area or leave them with our door person.
7.) Please dress for hot weather. It will be 100 degrees and while we have ac, the house will get warm with doors opening and closing. There’s also a significant amount of items outside to shop in the back!
8.) forms of payment are Cash, Credit card, or tap. If you’re paying with anything other than cash please bring a valid ID and you will incur a 2% convenience fee. We will also have 2 people running checkout. One that is Cash only and one taking both card and cash. No checks!!
9.) Candlewood is a narrow road. Please use caution when parking and do not risk being towed by blocking neighbors driveways or mailboxes.
10.) We absolutely can not help you move heavy or large items so please bring help loading those purchases. We also have a mover for hire if you wish to go that route.

Lastly, we are extremely busy with last minute preparations so questions may go unanswered at this point.

Areas are coming together in this packed 4000 sq ft home we are currently processing in North San Antonio. There’s a large selection of Native American pottery, art, taxidermy, duck decor, Vera Bradley bags and wallets, vintage a new kitchen, thousands of pieces of vintage and new clothing in sizes small, medium, large and XL. Ladies shoes in sizes 7, 7.5, 8 and 8.5. There are dozens of Coach, Dooney and Kate Spade purses most new with tags. Stay tuned for more photos!
