I could design rooms that look incredible in photos but nobody actually wants to live in.

I don’t.

Every space I create has to pass one test: does it work for the person who lives here?

It means kid-proof fabrics can still be gorgeous. It means the layout has to make sense on a Tuesday night, not just in a styled photo.

Beautiful AND livable. That’s not a compromise, it’s the solution!

This primary bedroom was a blank canvas. Our client wanted a sanctuary inspired by her love for Mexico City and Oaxaca. So we went all in — limewash on the walls with matching paint on the ceiling, AND doors for a seamless, cocooning warmth.

My personal favorite thing in the space? The custom velvet headboard paired with the vintage burl wood nightstands. Every layer was chosen to feel soothing, not busy.

This living room was beige and disconnected.

My client wanted warmth, soul, and grounding. We anchored the entire space in Benjamin Moore‘s Fox Hollow Brown, a color she’d been dreaming about.

From there, we layered in textures and prioritized function: a hand-tufted wool rug, velvet drapes, custom shelving, and art that tells her family’s story.

Yesterday, I celebrated my 37th birthday. Shocking, I know. I’m not sure I’ll ever understand how fast time flies.

The older I get, the more I’m reminded that life is sweet and experiences are truly priceless.

Gosh, I’m so blessed to have so many people who love me. God has gifted me the most amazing family, the most supportive friends, and a carefully curated community of people who truly appreciate me.

Here’s to another trip around the sun and continuing the journey of doing all the scary things, and most importantly, the things that bring me joy.
